From 3 October 2026, my Birdhouse Tree installation is on view at Design Museum Gent. The work is part of CONNECT, the opening exhibition of the museum’s new wing DING — a five-level extension that completes a transformation more than three decades in the making.

CONNECT is conceived as an active, participatory exhibition: touching, playing and co-creating are not just allowed but encouraged. Design Fest Gent, animating the city from 3 to 11 October, powers the exhibition. The Birdhouse Tree is among the first works to inhabit the renewed museum from the very moment of its reopening.

Previously shown in Home Sweet Home at MAD Brussels, curated by Connie Hüsser, the installation now finds a new context in Gent — within a collection spanning Art Nouveau masters Henry van de Velde and Victor Horta through to contemporary Belgian design.

CONNECT runs until 10 January 2027.
