Pagan Poetry

Pagan Poetry 2025 – ongoing

Gilded clay forms—garlic, snails, hare, fox, dandelion, artichoke, moths, poppy. Just a small grasp of elements once gathered, feared, revered, or dismissed—symbols whose power has shifted across time.

What was once collected under moonlight for protection, healing, or enchantment now gets dismissed as weed, pest, or superstition. The work isolates these elements in clay and 24-carat gold leaf—elevating what medieval herbalists knew as medicine, what witches gathered for spells, what folklore cast as omens or guardians.

Each form carries residual magic from pre-Christian traditions, herbal knowledge, and practices now obscured. An installation of bewitched ingredients preserved in gold, waiting to be recognized or misread.
