This year the WoonWerkpand Tetterode in Amsterdam celebrates its 45th anniversary, and the whole building is opening its doors to mark the occasion on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October.

I’m taking part in the Open Studio and group exhibition in the ceramics studio of Bastienne Kramer. We’re now up to 22 wonderful exhibitors, showing a rich mix of ceramic sculpture, objects and experiments.

Bastienne was head of the Ceramics Department at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. Her ceramic work explores the objects a culture surrounds itself with, with a particular focus on how women are seen. It’s a real pleasure to show work alongside her and this great group of makers.
