Birdhouse Exhibition at MAD Brussels

I’m pleased to share that my “birdhouses” will be part of Home Sweet Home, a group exhibition opening March 11, 2026, at Nieuwe Graanmarkt 10 in Brussels.

The exhibition, curated by Swiss interior stylist and curator Connie Hüsser, brings together more than 50 birdhouses created by international designers. Each piece reimagines this modest, functional object through the lens of individual practice—exploring how material, form, and color can transform something utilitarian into something sculptural.

Hüsser’s approach with Objects with Love has always been about creating unexpected connections between designers working across different disciplines and geographies. For this show, she’s invited participants to engage with the idea of home—shelter, care, habitat—through a form that exists at the intersection of design and nature.

The exhibition includes work by Bram Vanderbeke, Linde Freya Tangelder, Maya Eline Leroy, Bethan Laura Wood, Sabine Marcelis, and Kwangho Lee, among others. The range of materials spans ceramics, metal, wood, and textiles—each birdhouse reflecting the distinctive visual language of its maker.

My contribution continues my ongoing exploration of clay as material and form, creating something that sits between function and sculpture, between the domestic and the wild.

The exhibition runs from March 11 through April 25, 2026, open Wednesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
