Hyperion 2413 — Los Angeles January 6–31, 2027

I will participate in Abrakadabra, a group exhibition bringing together historical magical artefacts and new works by contemporary artists in a dialogue about the visual language and imagination of magic.

The exhibition explores how magicians and artists alike use materials — rope, silk, mirrors — to challenge perception and reshape our experience of reality. The contemporary works in the show draw from this tradition, reimagining its symbols through new forms and perspectives. For me, whose practice is rooted in the mythological and symbolic potential of materials, the invitation feels like a natural fit.

My works – including ceramic sculptures of mystical creatures – will be shown alongside pieces by Jenna Kaes, David Taylor, Kwangho Lee, and others, with the exhibition guided by curator Alexandra Midal. Historical artefacts from the collection of the Magic Castle in Hollywood provide the source material and backdrop for the show.

At the centre of Abrakadabra is a custom close-up magic table designed by Jenna Kaes – both functional performance piece and artwork – around which magician Asi Wind and others will perform throughout the run of the exhibition, bringing the space to life through live demonstration.
