Earth Spirits 2025 – ongoing

Faces in raw clay—dark, matte, elemental. An ode to mud, to earth as building material in its purest form. The Earth Spirits emerge from clay that holds history, souls, and everything eventually buried beneath layers of soil. Matter containing multitudes.

Clay as earth mixed with water, shaped by hands, transformed by fire. Three elements converging to call forth guardians—faces that watch over what the earth protects and remembers. Left bare without glaze, the surfaces reveal every mark, every gesture. Eyes stare from deep sockets, mouths open or sealed, textures pressed by hands.

Some faces emerge calm and composed, others writhe or twist. Spines, spikes, and protrusions extend outward—something between human and otherworldly. Spirits surfacing to keep watch, made of the very substance they protect.

Each sculpture, made from unglazed clay, is unique, handmade, and signed.
